Children's Ministry
Children are very important to Cityview Church.
We are committed to becoming the kind of community described in the New Testament — a people of authentic relationships, heart-felt worship, and relevant teaching, including for our children. Our program aims to connect our children with Jesus and His mission. It is our desire to create a fun and engaging environment where they can learn about the greatness of Christ and the wonders of God’s love.
Classes for Kids of all Ages
Nursery (ages 0–2 years)
Opens at 9:45am
In our nursery area, newborns and infants love the bright colors and age-appropriate toys. Parents love the fact that their child will be loved and cared for in a safe, clean environment
Preschool (ages 3-4 years)
Opens at 9:45am
Through Bible stories, Preschoolers will learn amazing truths about God, presented in a way to lead them to love and trust Him. The lessons utilize fun activities like singing, dancing, re-enacting the Bible story, crafts, and games to reinforce those truths.
Kindergarten – 3rd Grade class
Opens after worship time
Memorable Bible teaching, games and activities keep kids involved from the moment they step into class. After Bible teaching time, the class is divided into smaller groups for more age-appropriate discussions, activities, and prayer. This age group stays with their parents for the time of worship so that families can worship together. An announcement will be made when it is time to take your children to their classes.
4th - 6th grade
Opens after worship time
This bridge class just prior to youth group travels through Route 66, a 2-year Bible Survey, in which they learn about major themes and characters from all 66 Books of the Bible. This class focuses on engaging group discussions, thoughtful responses to biblical themes, and prayer for missions. This age group also stays with their parents for the worship portion of the service so that families can worship together. An announcement will be made when it is time for them to head to their class.
Team Members
All our teachers and helpers love and care for children. Each teacher is committed to providing the best environment for your child to learn and grow in God. All our teachers and helpers have extensive background checks on file and are fully involved in the life of Cityview Church.
Safety
For our children’s safety, Cityview uses a check-in/check-out system that helps identify the children with their authorized guardian(s). As you drop your child off at their appropriate classroom, you will receive a security card with a unique number in which to ensure your child is safely checked out after the morning service.
